1. Scope and operator
This policy applies to the STED mobile application, website, and related support interactions. STED is the service operator and data controller where applicable. Questions can be sent to support@sted.run.
2. Information we collect
STED may process the following categories of information:
- Account information: email address, account identifier, authentication records, and the name you provide.
- Training setup: running experience, goals, current constraints, realistic weekly availability, preferred schedule, and plan choices.
- Training activity: plan settings, daily guidance, readiness choices, training decisions, completed check-ins, and performance benchmarks you enter.
- Optional Apple Health information: workout activity that you specifically permit STED to read.
- Support information: messages and diagnostic context you choose to send when requesting help.
- Local profile photo reference: if you select a profile photo, the current app stores its local file reference on your device for display.
The public website currently uses no advertising pixels, third-party analytics, or marketing cookies.
3. How we use information
- Authenticate and operate your account.
- Build and maintain your selected training plan.
- Provide personalised daily training guidance.
- Compare permitted completed activity with the intent of your plan.
- Display performance estimates and period comparisons.
- Respond to support, security, and privacy requests.
- Maintain service reliability, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
STED does not use health or fitness information for advertising and does not sell personal information.
4. Apple Health
Apple Health access is optional. If you connect it, STED reads only the workout information you permit so completed activity can be considered alongside your plan. You can change Health permissions in iOS settings and disconnect Apple Health from Profile inside STED.
STED does not use information obtained through Apple Health for advertising, marketing, or unrelated data mining.
5. Service providers and disclosure
STED uses service providers for functions such as account authentication, secure data storage, infrastructure, and support. They may process information only to provide those services and are expected to protect it consistently with this policy and applicable law.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect users or the service, investigate abuse, or support a business reorganisation subject to appropriate safeguards.
6. Retention and deletion
Account and training information is kept while your account is active and only as long as reasonably needed for service operation, security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Support correspondence may be kept for a reasonable period to resolve requests and maintain a record of the response.
Deleting your account removes the account and associated server data that STED is not legally required to retain, and clears cached account data from the device. Some limited records may be retained where required for security, legal, or operational obligations.
7. Your choices and rights
You can:
- disconnect Apple Health or change its permissions;
- update plan and profile information in the app;
- reset your training setup;
- permanently delete your account from Profile; and
- ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or other rights available under applicable privacy law.
Account deletion is completed from Profile inside STED. For other privacy requests, email support@sted.run .
8. Security and international processing
STED uses reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect information. No service can guarantee absolute security. Depending on where you live and where service providers operate, information may be processed outside your country with safeguards required by applicable law.
9. Children
STED is not directed to children below the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as STED develops. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate in-app, account, or website notice. The latest revision date will appear above.
